Yes, 360s are a powerful tool when used correctly like the title of this video suggests. However, they also have the power to distract from transparent relationships where authentic face-to-face feedback is vital.
Endeavouring to boost overall performance, 360° Feedback is no doubt a billion-dollar industry.
But like any vitamin, we should be asking:
- Is it necessary?
- Does it work?
In this video, I challenge the blatant use of 360° instruments as a development tool. I’ll get you to ponder on some of the inherent complications with 360s and provide 4 strategies, that are vital for providing development feedback and nurturing mutual trust and respect (with or without 360s).
