In this episode, I outline 3 simple strategies you can action when someone on your team, just won’t change.
Putting them on a performance improvement plan should be your very last step and hopefully one of the strategies in this video will mean it won’t get to that.
Here’s the question:
I’m having trouble with one of my direct reports. They are a very keen team player yet make commitments and rarely follow through. Particularly, if they think their actions may piss somebody off. I appreciate their sensitivity but at times they need to make a call. Yet, even though I’ve pointed this out several times, their behaviour continues. Before putting them on a performance improvement plan, do you have any ideas?
I’d love you to reflect on the 3 simple strategies outlined and consider which one you need to better employ.
Hope it helps.
Enjoy the episode and please share it with your friends, colleagues and leaders you know would benefit from the lessons within.
