In this episode, I introduce the concept of setting “lifetime” goals. Goals that you may never achieve.
Lifetime goals are different to SMART goals. The purpose of Lifetime goals isn’t always to achieve them. It’s about who you need to become to achieve them.
Here’s the question:
“I’m a massive goal setter. I love the thrill of working toward my goals and the ultimate sense of achievement when I reach them. However, lately, the edge has gone off both writing goals and the realising of them. I think this is because I’ve been unable to complete them due to circumstances outside of my control. How do I get back on the horse?”
To better understand Lifetime goals and help you reinvigorate your goal setting, this episode unpacks the difference between aspirational and ambitious goals. You’ll learn why both are important and certainly not mutually exclusive.
It’s always helpful to share some of your Lifetime goals. To put them out in the world. I would love to hear them.
Enjoy the episode and please share it with your friends, colleagues and leaders you know would benefit from the lessons within.
