What a great question we have this week. In essence, it’s “Is a human enterprise possible?”.
Here’s the question:
“My aspiration is to build a team and organisational culture
that is kind and compassionate, that is high performing and
results-driven. Often I am told that it is not possible for these
qualities to co-exist. Do you think it is possible, and have you
come across any successful (and unsuccessful) examples?”
In this episode, I passionately reinforce the idea that you can have a kind and compassionate organisation AND still provide outstanding results.
And it starts with servant leadership, a strong connection to a service-based mission and loving the people you work with. Or as Stephen Stills taught us: “Love the One You’re With!”
I hope you enjoy a couple of key ideas to help you build ‘the human enterprise’ in your workplace.
Enjoy the video.
