In this episode of Mentoring with Mitch, I offer some ideas on how to deal with one of the most difficult situations you’ll encounter in your career – the inappropriate behaviour of your boss.
Here’s the question:
“When your organisation indicates there is an important inclusion and diversity initiative but a senior leader that is great at ‘managing up’ is not supporting this with their insensitive style, in fact from the ground up is the cause of a larger than expected staff turnover, is there anything you can do to effect change?”
So if you’re not interested in “Waiting on the World to Change”, I overview 3 options of dealing with it:
- Escalating
- Escaping
- Embracing
We’ll then go through 3 tried and tested steps on how to deal with the issue with the understanding that by not “moving towards the tension” things can only get worse.
Enjoy the video.
